Morgan Hill, California- March 10, 2004- Alien Technology Corporation, a leading provider of reliable, high-volume Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) products, announced today it has entered into an agreement with EPC Solutions International Inc. to provide EPC Class 1 RFID products and training to the Chinese market.

"The demand for RFID solutions is becoming critical for Chinese manufacturers supplying products to global retailers who are adopting RFID. We are excited to be working with EPC Solutions International to rapidly bring EPC products to the growing China market," commented Stav Prodromou, CEO of Alien Technology Corporation.

The initial joint activities will include creating an RFID demo center in China. Aliena and EPC Solutions also plan to develop a joint education program based on Alien's acclaimed RFID Academy to inform and educate Chinese companies about RFID.
　　
The two companies will develop RFID implementation strategies for EPC Class 1 products including Alien's tags, readers and service offerings. "Many manufacturers in China are looking to RFID technology to improve their own logistics and supply chain operations. Alien Technology'sa expertise in EPC RFID made them a clear choice to partner with for developing RFID solutions for the Chinese marketplace. A Chinese delegation from the China EPC Working Group of China Association for Standardization (CAS), led by Mr. MA Linchong, the Secretary General of CAS, visited Alien Technology Corporation on March 8, 2004. Alien Technology and EPC Solutions International will be working with the China EPC Working Group to support their technology development and standardization activities. The China EPC Working Group strongly supports the joint effort by Alien Technology and EPC Solutions for advancing EPC RFID applications in China.
